Fall Beach Clean-Up 2015
Oct 16th 2015 On a chilly fall evening, friends and peers gathered for another Fall Clean Up at Jacobs Beach. Waves of Freedom organized another successful bake sale that sold candy corn packets, sugar cookies, brownies, chocolate pretzels & yummy caramel apples! Volunteers loved the bake sale and it brought in $300, with the help of the t-shirt sale also. After stomachs were full and shirts were bought, the 30 volunteers split up into groups to clean up the beach! A couple of odd items were found such as 2 old beach chairs, sneakers & shirts and more. The most common garbage was rappers, pieces of styrofoam and beer bottles. With the help of everyone who came, now Jacobs Beach is cleaner and more enjoyable for the Guilford community.
